Is Lance a common boy's name? In Medieval times, were boys called Lance a lot?

Update:

@ MJT - In fact, it was the opposite of "On yer bike!"

@ CT - Are you going to table that as an answer?

@ Pronk - Sir Cumference was a well rounded individual

@ Reg - Would they get the hump?

@ Weasel - Would it be a noble gesture?

Update 2:

@ Ron - Were they at knight?

A popular name, yes; and along with Art and Percy was a glorious gala had.  In fact, Lance is known for his swordid affairs.

Yes sir, Lance was known as Arm-strong, because he won many Jousting matches in a row, but later in his Middle Ages they found out he was on opiates, and stripped him of his titles..

In other words, I'm Guinevere if I that.

RR, if I get a round to it.
