When we use standard addition calibration?

The method of standard addition is a quantitative analysis technique we use to overcome effects possibly due to the sample solution interfering with the analyte signal . This is called the matrix effect and itis overcome by adding exactly known volumes of a standard analyte solution to the sample.
A calibration curve is produced where the resultant the contribution of the added analyte noted as seen on the graphic .
