Take that question up with Jesus, who is he only judge of such things.

John 12:48 determines that.  Man's acumen does not.

Dear Fred! Hell as a place of torment doesn't exist. Hell is a grave where are the worms..."Down to the Grave( literally translation "sheol", the Hebrew word that was translated as hell, grave and tomb in different translations) your pride has been brought,The sound of your stringed instruments. Maggots are spread beneath you as a bed,And worms are your covering.’(Isaiah 14:11, NWT).

Hell as a place of torment is a very big lie because this lie dishonor the God and scares people.

The God never thought of torment people in the fire. Think about it: to burn people forever! If someone does something like this nowadays people will say that he is sadist. Satan wants people to think about God that He is cruel and not rightful. Satan said to Adam and Eve: "At this the serpent said to the woman: “You certainly will not die." (Genesis 3:4). So he invented the lie that people don't die, their souls live forever!

So God can't end their life, can He? Why they live forever if they are evil? Why God can't end their life? People who believe in lie that hellfire exist, think that God can't eliminate them... No, he can!!! He said Adam and Eve: "But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will certainly die."(Genesis 2:17). HE DIDN'T SAY: YOU WILL BE BURNING! No, He say only: YOU WILL DIE!!! If He didn't warn about the firehell.... was it rightful to say: you will die, if don't obey,.. but then put them into the fire? God could not do so!

When Jews burnt their alive children in the fire, God was shocked and said: "They have built the high places of Toʹpheth, which is in the Valley of the Son of Hinʹnom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, something that I had not commanded and that had never even come into my heart.’"(Jeremiah 7:31). If He said that such mind had never even come to His heart, COULD HE CREATE THE HELL or use it for punishment? NOOO!

And the last.... People are created so that they can't feel anything after their death:

"For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all,....there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave, where you are going."(Ecclesiastes 9:5,10). The Bible says that people are the souls, and after death they feel nothing.

And the punishment for evil persons is death. "For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord."(Romans 6:23). Only righteous people can live forever, and all evil people and angels will die, they will not exist anywhere and anymore....

It's not about being nice. Matthew 19:17

  • I have told you many times that no one on this world can buy heaven only with its supposed good, he must also do God's will, on all its laws and prescriptions. And then, consecration is urgent, without it, no one will see the Lord in Paradise.

Now you're purring, if you get it?

    Hebrews 12:14.

Make peace with all and sanctification, without which no one will see the Lord.

Nobody goes to hell for being nice! God knew that everybody would go to hell for being in a state of rebellious sin against Him, unless He did for them what they could never do for themselves, to have their sin taken away. Only what Jesus did can prevent anyone ending up in hell. It follows that if you don't believe in Jesus, then what He did cannot be applied to you. Only faith in Jesus gets our sins taken away. But no amount of going to church or doing good things will substitute for you putting faith in Jesus!

However, all those who are going to Heaven have such faith that they then do the good things God would have them do, for His glory, not for their admission to Heaven! All those who have repented of their sin and been given saving faith in Jesus, are no longer in rebellion against God, but live in harmony with Him. The Holy Spirit enables all of that to happen. It's amazing! Amazing grace that saves wretches like us from hell!

Don't believe those who cherry-pick verses to say hell is just the grave. Not according to what Jesus warned, it isn't! He described it as utterly awful and that religious hypocrites and lovers of money would end up there in torments.

(Ecclesiastes 9:5) 5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten.

The church wants you to believe in a fiery hell but the bible does not teach that.  It says, God said to Adam:  For dust you are and to dust you will return"  Or the wages of sin is death.  So to be available for a resurrection on judgment day you have to be in God's memory.  Wicked people are not in his memory.  So some will be resurrected as righteous people and some as never having a chance to learn about God.  But in  *** Bible Citations ***

(Genesis 6:5) Consequently, Jehovah saw that man’s wickedness was great on the earth and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only bad all the time.

would he bring them back in a resurrection?  NO, he destroyed them because there was nothing good to bring back to life.

Jesus said about people in Noah’s day. They were eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away. Matthew 24:38, 39

What was wrong was their preoccupation with everything else to the exclusion of listening to God when he spoke through his servant Noah, a preacher of righteousness. Because they did not listen, when the Flood came it swept them all away into destruction.

Many of those who died in the Flood no doubt considered themselves NICE PEOPLE, not being involved in the violence that filled society in those days. (But just being nice did not save them.)

By their apathy they condoned the evil of their day. The crucial thing was that they did not run to God; they did not listen when God’s servant spoke. So they did not take the proper steps for survival.

Doing good and going to church and being nice won't get you to avoid hell.  Avoiding hell is only by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ.  Here is the truth: The Lord Jesus Christ is God. Nobody can be good enough to avoid hell. The truth is that death leads to immediate heaven or hell, depending only on whether the person believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, or not. The truth is that the Lord Jesus Christ loves you and wants to bless your life freely :) Most of all, Jesus wants you with Him forever, and not in hell.

Believing on the Lord Jesus Christ means being forgiven all sins past and future and means going to heaven. The truth is that every belief except one will lead to eternal torment in the lake of fire for every person. Because nothing pays for our sins except the death and blood of Jesus, the sacrifice of Jesus that is already accomplished by Him . Jesus loves you! The truth is that the Lord Jesus Christ is God, and Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sins in full, and then Jesus was buried, and then Jesus resurrected from the dead. Nothing else pays for our sins, not works, not deeds, not religions. So the only way to heaven and to avoid hell, is by believing on Jesus for eternal life (John 6:47), without adding any of your own works (Romans 4:5). Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ to take you to heaven, and you will be in heaven, no matter what, guaranteed. That easy, thanks to Jesus! Tell Jesus that you thank Him that you will be with Him in heaven
