    f = y-x

    f ' = (dy/dx) - 1 

    Is this right?

    Hints: Let f = y - x. Thus f ' = ?

    Answer that & we will proceed. 

    Yes, f ' = y' - 1. Thus y' = f' + 1. 

    Now, use f = y-x & y' = f ' + 1 and plug these into your original eqs. What do you get?
