No. Almost every company and many individuals do things to avoid paying taxes. Tax avoidance is legal. Tax evasion is not.

Tax evasion is a crime. If MOST companies were evading taxes then MOST CEO's and corporate accountants would be in jail.

Avoiding taxes by using legal deductions and accounting techniques to manage how much tax is legally owed and paying only what is owed is perfectly legal.

No, they AVOID taxes, by taking legal deductions, etc.

Actually no--if that were true we would not have much of an economy. Tax evasion is illegal--but tax loopholes, shelters, and minimalization is not. However, businesses and corporations pay a lot more taxes than people do.

    Criminal evasion?   No.

Do they use tax reduction strategies that are likely to be deemed legal in a court of law?    Of course.

They don't "evade" them. They find legal loopholes that allow them to keep their tax burden as low as possible.
