Why is there so much anger in the country now ?

I can remember back in the 60's, 70's and 80's that it was a lot nicer and people seemed happier, now everyone seems mad and unhappy. I know the pandemic has done a lot but even before that it seemed we were getting really divided.

The world is sick as a dog.

There are 2 billion people more than the 60's.

    The pandemic is an excuse.

God bless you--you must be sheltered from all the anger and hatred being spread by the current administration.  Keep living with your head in the sand.

Your memory needs refreshing. The 60's saw some terrible riots, especially in 65 and 67. Detroit still hasn't recovered from the 67 riot. The radical socialists in the anti war movement perpetrated a number of bombings, which continued right up until about 75. The crime rate began rising in the 50s and only peaked in the 90s. NYC was a scary place in the 70s.

Divisive President and ineffective government mostly, and add to that the massive skew of wealth. Crime and hate are linked with the skew of wealth and also with corruption levels of government.
