Did I fry my motherboard on my laptop?  ?

I spilled some steak juice on my laptop and I turned it off and let it sit out over night and now when I tried to turn it back on there is no response other than the power light coming on and the caps lock light is flashing.

If you salted your steak like you should have, odds are not in your favor. You should have turned it off, taken out the battery (If Possible), and then have it professionally cleaned.

edit: Immediately. Don't let it sit.

    Hi

    wesley s

    Try to clear your CMOS:

There should be a jumper on your motherboard.

    1) Power down.

    2) Move the jumper. Leave it there for 5 seconds

    3) Move the jumper back to default position.

    4) Power up again.

     Thank you

Yes... Don't leave liquids on electronics, try not to spill in the sfirst place, but DON'T let it 'sit over night'

You should have cleaned the motherboard, before turning it back on. You short-circuited it.

Liquids plus electronics?  Doh!  Or electronics plus liquid?  Doh! again.

    Time for the repair shop.

Best guess from no clues on make, model, age, value to you of that laptop.  Take out the data drive and transfer good stuff to another computer.

Damn, you fcked up, bruh. You could trying taking it apart to see what parts were damaged and replace them, and to let it air out. it might start working after it fully dries.
