Would love to hear the logic that says Trump has no right to select a SCOTUS based on the law and constitution, you brave enough to answer?

    He is the President and can select whoever he wants

    For the same reason that republithugs wouldn't consider Obama's nomination of Merrick Garland to fill Scalia's seat.

    The issue has never been addressed by the SCOTUS.  The issue now is whether or not voters should have a say in who makes a lifetime appointment to the high court.  The same people who in 2016 said yes, they should are in 2020 saying no, they shouldn't.  That includes Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump.

    That's one of the President's duties outlined in Article II of the Constitution.  Can't think of any reason why he can't carry out that duty.  I'd like to hear the reasoning of anyone who thinks differently.

    I mean, we could just use the same logic as when Obama was President. But Republicans don’t even pretend to not be hypocrites
