A GOOD DICTATORSHIP CAN ACCOMPLISH A LOT MORE THAN A DEMOCRACY BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE WORRY ABOUT PUBLIC OPINION BUT IF YOU GET A BAD LEADER IN A DICTATORSHIP YOU ARE STUCK WITH HIM.  WITH A DEMOCRACY YOU CAN VOTE HIM OUT OF OFFICE

It's an illusion to me, but if we assume the illusion is not an illusion what it does is it leans on the idea that the majority opinion is the practical one (and adheres to that).

    THAT is up for dispute.

Sometimes intellect may be the rare thing here in our human race sometimes - which means not the right person may be chosen - sometimes.

Some communist or dictatorial countries hold "elections," mock elections where people cast ballots and they're basically discarded (or the opponent is harmed and scared away) and the same dude ends up being "elected," and they call it a democracy.

Heck North Korea calls itself a democracy.
