Why is the Dow so high when the economy is in practically a depression for the next 20 years?

All the Dow shows is how the richest corporations and individuals are doing and the pandemic has made them richer.

Because the Dow value doesn't represent the state of the economy.

    It never has.

    It never will.

    That's not what it's for.

There are smarter people out there than you, obviously. The Markets understand that the economy is being artificially stunted for political reasons by Never Trumpers at the State and Party levels, who would rather collapse the economy, than let Trump take credit for it.  The understanding that these efforts will ultimately fail, is reflected in the fact that the Markets remain up.

With President Trump the market analysis sees a bright future.  Oil independence is great for the markets.  Lower taxes and job growth sparks the market.  Deregulations spark the market.  Returning industries to America sparks the stock market.  I see a great future with President Trump.

There is no doom and gloom with  President Trump.  You either get out of his way or get run over.  He is the man with a plan to make America Great Again.  His 1776 Commission has been needed for over 60 years.  I see a lot of old professors getting ready to retire.  Their negative days are over.  Americans will be voting for Trump, but China will be supporting Biden.  You want to see the DOW hit bottom and the economy flop, vote Biden.  Biden is an economy killer.

Because market analysts can see a future, where you obviously can't.

Because money has become unrealistic value is unrealistic there are two worlds one is real where you live where a dime is a dime in the other it doesnt exist its imaginary and can be what you want it can buy a cookie or a Mona Lisa , no interest or even negative makes a mockery of your world doesnt it , its back to bartering

The market is unrealistically high. The real growth numbers are not there...because you need a booming economy - meaning people working and earning an income so they can spend their money back into the economy. Right now the Dow is high because they are on Government Welfare, or the people's tax money is BAILING them out(such as the airline industry) because there are no passengers paying to fly anywhere.  The Government is bailing out the wrong end of the spectrum. Meaning it will take much longer for the U.S. to recover than other countries...as industries will be continuing on this BAIL OUT PACKAGES rather than run their business like a normal slow down period.   Average people should have got a bigger stimulus package for a longer period of time so they LIVE and can return to work again.

But the guy has gone BANKRUPT IN 2 CASINO'S, so don't expect him to figure it out.

If you are itching to see the stock market crash and 100 million Americans lose their life saving ,,,, all you need do is vote for Sleepy Joe .

The market is high because like most of America , Wall Street believes Trump will win a 2nd term .
