Why is there not a vaccine for mosquito bites? ?

It's the numbing agent that causes the itchy bites, and some people have gotten bitten so many times they're immune. Why haven't we used the mosquito's numbing agent to create a vaccine?

Because a vaccine is specifically for preventing viruses, and the numbing chemical that a mosquito squirts out is not a virus.  The itchy welts from mosquito bites are an allergic reaction, and they are treated with topical antihistamines.  Instead of making a product that makes people not get affected by those bites, we need a product that will work constantly to repel mosquitoes so they don't want to bite in the first place.
