What was after hours like in the 1970s?

I was watching a Charlie’s Angels episode. It was about a bar where people called each other’s tables for a date. Then they danced. Looked like they were out late on a weekday and dressed up... I’m satin.   Was this normal in the 70s. I’m rarely go out with my friends after work. Sounds awesome. No Covid reference please. Talking about before.

Lol, calling someone's table for a date? This might have been some short-lived trendy idea in an LA or NYC bar, but that's it. Bars were pretty much the same as they are now.
