I was baptised as a baby. Does that mean I can call myself a Christian?

"Everyone who is born of God (born again) overcomes the world" [1 John 5: 4].
True followers obey and apply the Word. "Come near to God and He will come near to you." >>It's right here where a relationship is formed [James 4: 8].
Now you can call yourself a Christian.

Christianity is not for evil or selfish people, Be Goodly choose in life.

Anglicans and Roman Catholics believe in one baptism. Confirmation is the reaffirmation of the baptismal vows.

No anymore than walking into a barn makes you a cow. You have to be old enough, to make a choice for or against Christ. Footnote, its never too late until you die, then your choice is final.

I would say not. The Book of Acts describes an incident where a man converted to Christianity and had his whole family baptised, but at the time the paterfamilias role was in place and we don't have that kind of thing any more, so nowadays it'd be down to each person to make up their own mind to be baptised once they'd become mentally competent.

Have you surrendered your life to the Lord Jesus Christ and acknowledged what Christ did for you? Scripture says, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." How does a baby believe in anything so young?
Can a baby realize Christ died for his/her sins and because we believe in what Christ did for us that we are given eternal life with Him. I do believe that babies belong to God until they become the age of accountability. I don't believe God throws the sins of the parents onto the child if the child dies before the age of accountability. I do believe the sins of the ancestors can come upon our children as curses. We often see this when a father drinks, the son drinks, a father watches porno, son watches porno, father beats his wife, son beat his wife. Proverbs 26:2 says that a curse without a cause does not come. Sin is the cause of all curses.

It means you were given the first step in the Christian life, shortly before you took your first steps in physical life. After that, its a matter of becoming more mature, in both your Christian life and your physical/intellectual life.

You can call yourself whatever you like. Baptism is the initiation into Christianity but if you don't believe in Christ you're not a Christian.
To the uneducated: the apostles baptized whole households, which logically included infants. And infant baptism was the norm until the Anabaptists showed up in the 16th century.Source(s): Greek Orthodox Christian

You can call yourself a Christian, but if you have not repented of sins and are not trusting in Jesus Christ by His grace alone, by faith alone, you are not a Christian.
God never commands infant baptism, nor can an infant profess faith in Jesus Christ, nor does sprinkling a baby with water save them. Only the grace of God makes a person a Christian.

"Infant baptism" is unbiblical and does nothing. Even as an adult, water baptism cannot get anyone into heaven, is not required to get into heaven, and cannot be added to what gets a person into heaven. See 1 Corinthians 1:17. No works can be added to what gets a person into heaven. See Romans 4:5. To get into heaven, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. That easy. Once they believe, they can be water baptized, but again, don't add the water baptism or any works to getting into heaven. Here is the truth: The Lord Jesus Christ is God. Nobody can be good enough to avoid hell. The truth is that death leads to immediate heaven or hell, depending only on whether the person believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, or not. The truth is that the Lord Jesus Christ loves you and wants to bless your life freely :) Most of all, Jesus wants you with Him forever, and not in hell. It is too late to be saved, after death.
Believing on the Lord Jesus Christ means being forgiven all sins past and future and means going to heaven. The truth is that every belief except one will lead to eternal torment in the lake of fire for every person. Because nothing pays for our sins except the death and blood of Jesus, the sacrifice of Jesus that is already accomplished by Him . Jesus loves you! The truth is that the Lord Jesus Christ is God, and Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sins in full, and then Jesus was buried, and then Jesus resurrected from the dead. Nothing else pays for our sins, not works, not deeds, not religions. So the only way to heaven and to avoid hell, is by believing on Jesus for eternal life (John 6:47), without adding any of your own works (Romans 4:5). Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ to take you to heaven, and you will be in heaven, no matter what, guaranteed. That easy, thanks to Jesus! Tell Jesus that you thank Him that you will be with Him in heaven
