Is this something to be ashamed of or worth bragging about?

I was homeschooled from ages 6-16 in a state with no regulations on home schooling, thus leading to be not having any formal education during that time.  At 16 I went to the adult education center, got tutoring to help me catch up.  Started community college six months later.  A few years down the road and now I am working on a masters. I still have terrible spelling and don’t know a lot of things that were taught in school.  I hate myself so much

going to school itself is an education,

apart from what is being taught in the school.

no point in crying over spilt milk.

neither worth bragging about nor being ashamed of.

    an experience worth learning from.

Your parents did a poor job of homeschooling you. Don't hate yourself. Do something about your deficiencies! You obviously have some brains so use them!

Neither ashamed nor bragging.  But a Master's student is expected to spell.  Use your word processing software spell check frequently.  Good luck.
