Riots are illegal, as is destruction of property, and should be prosecuted but peaceful demonstrations are legal even if we disagree with what someone is demonstrating about.

Compensation laws have a different set of standards from other legal proceedings but no one seems to care about the law or forcing legislative bodies to pass sensible laws.

Congress and state legislative bodiesshould act instead of react.

The civil suit has already been settled. Louisville  agreed to pay $12 million, to settle their liability.

The money should come from the police departments budget and not the tax payers.

Officials in Louisville, Kentucky have agreed to pay $12m to the family of Breonna Taylor, a black woman who was killed in her home by police. One of the officers involved in the raid, Brett Hankison, was fired in June. The other two - Jonathan Mattingly and Myles Cosgrove - were placed on administrative leave.

The city's police chief was also fired in June after a separate police shooting.

Justice is not served with cash settlements, those involved in her murder will avoid arrest and accountability.

Some users around here need to defend bad policemen and justify bad police acts by bad police that not respect their oath about "Protect or Serve" and those users will try to ignore any wrongdoing in that event, is curious that the Louisville's city council voted unanimously in favor of banning no-knock warrants. Similar legislation that would ban the warrants nationwide was introduced in the US Congress.... but nothing bad happens there...

@Kerri you have no clue about justice or what BLM seeks. There is no justice!  To allow black people to be executed for petty crimes, no crimes and given longer sentences based on race IS NOT JUST. Your a clueless little moron that should get educated on the racial bias in society and in the court system. But it's not your personal fight so all you can do is spout the ignorance you've been taught.

Her family agreed to a twelve million dollar settlement. This is last week's news. Try to keep up.

There will be riots no matter what. BLM cares about communist revolution, not Breonna Taylor. Again, try to keep up.
