Wow.  Why are some of you answering when you clearly don't have a CLUE about cat breeds?

It does NOT look like a Russian Blue in the LEAST bit.  They can only have emerald green eyes.  This cat has GOLD eyes.  It's coat also has tabby markings (no one else sees it's bag hip/leg???) and those never occur on a Russian Blue.

It also looks NOTHING like a Chartreux or ANY breed for that matter.  It's simply a domestic - no breed or mix like over 97% of cats.  It's also not likely a mix of any breeds with pedigreed kittens usually altered before they are sold.

Hard to see coat in this pic.  Looks like Blue Mackerel Tabby.  What's the pattern on the cat's sides?  Vertical stripes or whorls?Do hope you adopted it and didn't hand over money to a backyard breeder and now have to spend $400 for altering, shots and everything else?FYI - THIS is what a Russian Blue looks like!

Unless you have pedigree papers for it, it is a moggie....a very nice short coated blue moggie

You have a domestic shorthair.  Color is blue.  It doesn't look like any kind of specific breed.  Unless the cat has registration papers and a pedigree, the cat is not a breed or a purebred.

Your cat, like most, is a Domestic Shorthair, which just means that he is a short haired cat of no particular pure breed. Very few cats are a specific pure breed of cat, and those will generally come with registration papers and a pedigree.

If the cat did not come with papers, he doesnt have a breed.   Hes just a generic NO BREED domestic cat.
