Should mass shootings be labeled as an act of terrorism? Why or why not? In what ways might that "label" change the way people perceive the behavior, or change the way the crime is prosecuted and treated? In the U.S. , most mass shootings are committed by younger white males. Is it appropriate to call this "white terrorism"? Why or why not?

No. It is an American tradition, dating back to the Days of the Wild West. Tom Mix. John Wayne. Clint Eastwood. The Lone Ranger. These are the people that Made America Great.

Close, but no. Terrorism is done to try to force political and/or religious beliefs on others. Mass shootings (in America) do not often meet this definition which makes it the actions of a raving lunatic mental case.
