My gf says she is “figuring herself out”?

So, I’m in a relationship with this girl and we’ve been together for nearly over three months coming up. Everything was running smoothly, we would argue sometimes but we got over it and she says she loves me I say I love her. Today’s the day after my birthday and shes been lukewarm today but  I texted her later in the evening asking if she’s alright, and she told me “im just figuring myself out, just been feeling odd today.” I took her word for it and I’ll let her have her time it’s just whenever I see a girl say that it’s right before disaster strikes, and I can’t handle getting cheated again tbh, I’ll be as bitter as a lemon.

You did the right thing by letting her have some free time... but not for her sake, it's mostly for your sake because if a girl is interested, she will find the time and the opportunity. If she's not interested, then she will give excuses like "I need time to figure it out." You need to read between the lines here-- that phrase means she's not sure you're the right guy. So now you save yourself the dignity and effort of bothering this girl and find yourself mother girlfriend. If this one will figure her stuff out before you get into a relationship, good. If not, then too bad (for her that is).

3months and you both been arguing. Red flags.. It's just to early in a relationship for that.  Y'all suppose to still getting to know each other.

So Yeah she's totally figuring out herself. . Doesn't necessarily mean she found someone else or you're going to be cheated on.  But she's most likely seeing if  after 3months if  being together is still on the table. Let her be and stop jumping to conclusions. Clearly you need to work on trust. Maybe that's why she needs to figure out herself.

Personal relationships are about psycho-emotional security as much as anything else. If she can't or won't hold up her end, why bother with her?

IMO, run.  If a man or woman wants you, wants to be with you and build something together with you - he or she is going to move heaven and earth to make it happen.  When a man or woman isn't showing total complete attention to what you have or are trying to build, it is a sign.  In my experience it is a sign confirming danger ahead.  Friend, this woman is taking time to get her ducks in a row, figure out her life and what she wants, whatever.  You have the right to do the same and that doesn't mean waiting around to figure out what she wants.  What do YOU want?   Life is short.  You have little time on this earth to make your life a good happy fulfilling one.  Don't waste it waiting on someone to decide how they want to live their life.  You go out and live yours.  :)

You guys sound young and people always grow up thinking "i'll be the same when i get older" and maybe some things will be. But as time goes on we do start thinking differently than we used to. It sounds like she's not happy with herself the fact that she said she's feeling odd to me means she's not feeling like herself. So she needs some time to figure out why she's feeling off and if she can't she might need to talk to a therapist because they're trained to help people with their mental health and just know that you still have to nip it in the bud before it becomes a problem im guessing for her it's already a huge problem because that's obviously affecting her and her relationship with you. She needs to fix the problem and that may be what she's trying to do. Try not to take it personal she sounds a little bit depressed. Good luck and hope this helps.
