Was it a lot of fun in the 1970s?

The Hudson Brothers and Krofft  shows sure make it look that way..

Yes, it was a lot of fun then most of the time.

Not nearly as fun as the 1960s, but not nearly as violent either, (am speaking of Vietnam and various assassinations and riots).  The one thing that the 70s are almost universally reviled for is "Disco" and rightly so.  What with disco and rap to follow, the 70s was the decade rock died.  In pace requiescat.

Like any time period at all, it depends on who you were, what your socio-economic situation was, where you lived, how much money you and/or your family had, what sort of personality you had, how healthy you were - and so on.

I started the decade entering High School and finished it getting out of the Army so for me, yeah, it was a lot of fun.
