    Per week (12/10)km are completed;

    After 6 weeks 6(12/10)km = 7.2km are competed;

    (12 - 7.2)km = 4.8km remain to be competed;

    b. gives correct answer.

    So 1.2 km gets done each week. 12/10 = 1.2.

    1.2(6) = 7.2 km

    12 - 7.2 = 4.8 km = 4800 m
