Sundew can I skip dormancy for 1 year?

Back in the early spring I bought a small variety of carnivorous plants. 1 of them being a sundew its an intermedia x filiformis. Its not even a year old plant yet but it requires a dormancy period. Its grown about 5 times its size now but I am still wondering with the winter coming would it be safe to bring it inside and skip dormancy for this winter only because its a young plant? Or should I let it stay outside this year and it will be safe? I live in Maryland.
