With 3g of X and 7g of Y, that forms 10g of the compound, with 0g of unreacted X and 0g of unreacted Y.

With 10g of X and 7g of Y, all 7g of Y will be used up when 3g of X are used up, forming 10g of the compound, leaving 7g of unreacted X and 0g of unreacted Y.

With 10g of X and 16g of Y, all 16g of Y will be used up when (3/7)*16 = (48/7)g of X are used up, forming 16 + (48/7) = (160/7)g of the compound, leaving 10 - (48/7) = (22/7)g of unreacted X and 0g of unreacted Y.

With 50g of X and 50g of Y, all 50g of Y will be used up when (3/7)*50 = (150/7)g of X are used up, forming 50 + (150/7) = (500/7)g of the compound, leaving 50 - (150/7) = (200/7)g of unreacted X and 0g of unreacted Y.
