Franchise store owners hours per week in store?
Besides going over paperwork would spending time in your store for just a few hours 1 day a week be standard? Do you even need to go by your store? Thankyou

Most new Franchise owners work long hours while building their business and training their staff. Once the business becomes successful the owner may work less and turn some of the responsibility over to assistants. Most small businesses do not make a lot of money and require the owners to work substantial hours.

"Do you even need to go by your store?"
Yes, you do.

The more hours you are not there, the more hours you have to pay someone who is at least as good as you to manage the other employees.
If an average franchise manager earns $20.00 an hour then you are taking $40,000 a year out of your potential profits to pay this person who 'is as good as you'.
So if you are planning on living on the profits from the restaurant and not working in the restaurant, then you have to make certain that the restaurant is making enough profit every week for you to do that.
So...if the restaurant is making $3,000.00 a week in pure profit...yes...you can afford to pay someone $800 a week, take $1,200 a week for yourself and still have $1,000 a week in reserve for repairs, replacing equipment and advertising costs.

They all have their own requirements, some let you just roll up with the cash and you can have someone else run it for you and some want you to do a load of unpaid training and then you have to agree to be a hands on owner before they let you buy it.

it might depend on the store

A franchise store owner is a business owner.
How often you are in the store depends on how much you can afford and how much involvement you want to have.
It's not uncommon for a UPS Store or TCBY franchisee to be there 6 or 7 days a week, running the day to day operations of the store.
If you don't want to do this, then you are paying someone else to do this.

Most of the franchise owner I do work for are at their locations at least 12 hours a day 6 to 7 days a week.
I do know( do work for) a couple of folks who have owned their franchises for over 10 years. they have paid off the initial franchise fees and they have hired competent managers to run the places. But they both still put in 3 to 5 hours a day during 'lunch runs and /or dinner runs' because they are the owners, they need to see what is going on...and some employees just do not show up and do not call...being there prevents the shop being short staffed and they get to hear what the customers are complaining about (or NOT complaining about)
