How much gasoline can a jerry can/gas can hold?

    Jerry can is five gallons.

    a /gas can can be 1/2-5 gallons. Or more.

    They come in different sizes, but the most common is 5 US gallons. I've seen 1, 2, 2.5, 3, and 6 gallon cans as well. Then there are gas caddys which come in a variety of sizes as well. They are basically portable gas pumps you roll up to a vehicle or machine and it either uses siphoning or an electric pump to dispense gas.

     It was designed in Germany in the 1930s for military use to hold 20 litres (4.4 imp gal; 5.3 US gal) of fuel.

    A real Gerry can hold 20 ltrs of petrol when full weighs about 40 Pounds which is a Good weight for a man to lift

    We have several from wavian an there 20 liters or 5.3 gallons. They also have smaller sizes but not as common.

    Usually 5 US gallons, if I remember right.
