7 - 5 overall. Manning was 1 - 4 against Rivers when he was in Indianapolis and 6 - 1 with the Broncos although he didn't start in the last of the wins but came from behind to win when he was put in in the 2nd half.

Peyton was better, but Philip Rivers has had an underrated career.  I think there are a few reasons for this - first is that Rivers spent most of his career in a small media market on a team that was more often mediocre than good.  Also, he was more of a steady stat-compiler than a great QB.  It's near impossible to conjure a memory of great Philip Rivers moments...yet, it's almost trivial for a football fan to remember great Peyton moments.

Rivers also never flashed those really BIG seasons like Peyton often did.  Peyton was only slightly better in most of the efficiency stats, but he was a higher volume guy and was on national TV frequently because his teams were contending.  His totals were significantly better - 10k+ more yards, 130+ more TDs, despite them playing the same number of years now.
