The North East of England is basically back in lockdown. How long before the rest of UK follows? (approximately) And if not, what next?

it basically ISNT back as it was in march+april+ may

What next - not much - the country cant afford a lockdown as it was then

(did to see the BBC prog about the "track and trace" shambles

Bojo promised a world beating track and trace system  - it got junked afterr millions had been spent on it-  and months wasted

the new one ? -a waste of time

The reporter signed up to trace "contacts" cos she could do that from home

Pay - think she said £40/hour she was logged in to receive contacts to trace

1 thing - she couldnt log in

2nd thing = when she COULD log in she didnt receive any numbers to trace

3rd thing - End of her shift (10 hours) she received £400 for just sitting around

She was "employed" and I calculated she had received £40000 but ONLY received 3 calls to track

Multiply that by the total number of "tracers" and the government has spent millions paying people to do very little

     (sound familiar?)

AND there was no way for her to contact ANYBODY to report if she had been unable to contact them

(AND track and trace can ONLY work if the phone is on contract cos then they got an address to go to

HOWEVER - pay as you go there IS no address or even a name - and you can get vouchers anonymously from the PO if you want to add more money to the phone

So all you gotta do is load some money onto the phone - use it until the cash runs out- dump the sim card and fit another one

Also the whole system assumes people leave their phone on all the time

But a lot of people dont- they use it AS a phone The wanna make a call they switch it on , make a call then switch it off ESPECIALLY if they are part of a group

The government don't even know the answer to that question, they are just making it up as they go along.

Withing the next two weeks. The point is it is not necessary. Despite what is being peddled it is not a big killer. In fact on the list on UK killers it is No.24.

People won't tolerate much more of this. The answer is herd immunity as lockdowns don't do anything to solve the problem.

Well, so far the South West has low Covid cases, so hopefully will avoid lockdown.

Businesses are still running, but obviously things like the hospitality industry will take a hit. Many areas are already on alert. This will continue to happen until effective testing can be found or a vaccine is ready.
