In triangle ABC, the size of angle B is 3 times the size of angle A and the size of angle C is 8° less than six times the size of angle A. Find the size of the angles.

Let  ∠ A  = x°,  Then --

∠ B = 3 x°,   ∠ C = ( 6 x - 8 )°

Now sum of all the three Interior Angles  =  180°  ............. (Theorem)

=> ∠ A  +  ∠ B  +  ∠ C   =   180°

......  |   .   .    | .    .     |

=>   x    + (3 x) +  ( 6x-8) =  180°

=>  10 x - 8   =   180°

=>   10 x  =  188°

=> x  =  18.8

Hence --

∠B = 3∠A

∠C = 6∠A - 8°

∠A + ∠B  + ∠C = 180°

∠A + 3∠A + 6∠A - 8° = 180°

10∠A = 188°

∠A = 18.8°

∠B = 3*18.8° = 56.4°

∠C = 6*18.8° - 8° = 104.8°
