acceleration a = g(m2-m1)/(m1+m2) = g*5/15 = g/3 m/sec^2

tension T = m2(g-a) = 10*2g/3 = 20g/3 N

substituting:

T – m₂g = m₂a

T – m₂g = m₂g(m₁ – m₂)/(m₁ + m₂)
