What are the Benefits of drinking coconut water?

    It reduces your thirst? There really are no other benefits. 

    It gives you moderate amounts of Potassium, Iron, and Manganese, so I guess that's good, but you could get those nutrients elsewhere of course.

    It is better than most sports drinks, coconut water has fewer calories, less sodium, and higher amounts of potassium.

    There are no scientific studies yet done to prove benefits or not. It tastes good, but it is also a fad.

    You get a blood glucose spike and are drinking something loaded with sugar and carbs so there are no benefits.  Coconut milk, however, is different.
