how hot is normal for a small 6 gal oil lubricated air compressor?

like absolutely scalding burning smoking hot instant 3rd degree burns if you touch it for a millisecond?

or just uncomfortably hot to touch for more than a half a second. but not burning you?Like on the compressor head/heatsink after filling up from 95 psi to 125 psi? What about the pipe coming out?My air compressor gets just fairly hot. but its not an instant burn if you touch it briefly.

When you compress a gas, it heats up so it’s normal for it to be hot. It won’t be as hot as an air cooled gasoline engine.
