is it true that if a man wants a relationship with a woman, he has to take initiative in most situations  and be assertive around his lady? ?

I know we have feminism now, but I know that deep down, most women still want a man to take charge and be assertive around her

Well, either he or she has to take the initiative

assertivity may not be needed, and lots of people don't like to be bossed around

Incorrect. He needs to be strong and protective. There is a difference.

Not sure how you "know" this. But if you've tried it and you're now in a relationship I guess at least it worked for you. The truth is that not all women want the same thing in a male partner. It's a matter of finding someone who wants what you've got.

    No - it's not true.

If you think you 'know' that's what most women want, you're sadly mistaken and are never going to have a good relationship.

Most women like assertive men, but are also assertive themselves.

Very few women want to be told what to do by a man!

Why do single people think it’s a good idea to ask YA for opinions on relationships.

Seriously, if we had dates we wouldn't be posting here.
