H. H. Holmes took a ride on the original Ferris wheel at the Chicago World’s Fair. The diameter of the wheel was 250 feet. If it took 12 minutes to travel through an arc measuring 280 degrees, then what was the linear speed of H.H. Holmes in miles per hour? What was the arc length?

    speed= 250π*1/5280*60/12 * 280/360≈ 0.578  mi/h

    arc length= 250π*280/360= 1750π/9≈ 610.9 ft
