Neither. What is pageant talent? If you're only interested in impressing people, that's an indication you're not serious about what you're doing.

Neither is more impressive than the other. It depends on the talent of the performer.

Neither.  Or both.  The talent / instrument itself doesn't impress anyone, it's all about the delivery when it comes to music.

Both require massive amounts of dedicated practice to get right, but neither is more impressive than the other on its own.  Training and practicing only provide technical skills, and music is only 10% technical skill.  The rest is pure passion, and that's something a person either has or doesn't have.

I have judged THOUSANDS of students in various assessments and competitions.  Unless you are a VERY GOOD singer -years of lessons, excellent technique - then do not sing.  We get the screaming and wailing idiots every year ago think that  since they have zero mistake training, that ANYONE can sing.  Nope.  If you have studied piano, or any other instrument, with a fine teacher (beyind your band director . . .) then that might work better.  If you clearly do but have any exceptional musical abilities - sister is the torture, and you, the embassment.  If you are equally proficient - have your teacher help you choose.  I despise these pageants, since they continue to GRADE young women on mostly the wrong things.  The time you waste working about hair/makeup/ dress could have been used to get you into Harvard. Want to enter a legitimate competition for music students?  There are many!!

That depends on how good one is at which talent.
