Light weights?

Can I still get stronger with light weights and more reps and cardio 

Bench press, squatting etc

    Not significantly. To get stronger you need to lift heavier and challenge those muscles. Doing more reps will increase your endurance (how long you can lift) but won't do much to increase your strength.
