What can a person do if another person he's suing for crimes like rape has some connections to politicians in a given state (i.e. governor)?

I'm not a native English speaker so apologies for the wrong grammar

Update 2:

Said person is suing another person for rape on behalf of a female family member who has a mental condition

Update 3:

Rape would involve a criminal prosecution and likely only with a conviction would there be any shot at a civil lawsuit. But clearly the well connected can sometimes pull strings to create optimal outcomes for themselves.

Get the politicians involved in the case.

No idea what that means.  A person cannot sue for rape.

Again, you do not sue for rape.  Rape is a criminal charge that the district attorney would bring against a person.
