Why did evolution happen?

Update:

All of you missed the point.  First of all evolution doesn't just include humans.  Evolution happens with a wild humans and evolution also is the evolution of the Earth. Evolution also includes the solar system and the universe.  My question is why did all of it happen?  What's the purpose not the process? Why did the entire evolutionary process start from the universe to the Earth to the animals to the microorganisms why did all of it happen?

Update 2:

The word Wild: is a voice typo

The word evolution basically means change over time. Anything that changes over time can be said to evolve. So even a melting ice cube is evolving.

This is not the same as "evolution" used as shorthand for the [neo]-Darwinian Theory of Evolution.

Evolution is simply one way that things can operate over time.  evolution, revolution (as in cyclical not overturning), periodicity, chaotic.  Lots of things evolve.  Life is one.

It is the nature of change, that it has only so many general ways to occur, and many things proceed by evolving, changing slowly over time in a particular even if general direction.  Many of the earlier life and earth scientists thought that things worked in cycles, revolving, going around to come around back where it started.  It took a long time for broad acceptance of an evolving universe, earth, and its life as the true state.

Evolution and "Natural Selection" are two very different things.

Darwin explained that.  In a population of animals (or plants or even people) some are more fit to survive in the environment than others, and these more-survivable individuals have more offspring, who inherit their qualities.  Over millions of generations, many lucky 'mutations' become standard features.  Darwin called it 'natural selection'.
