Why is my computer running so so slow?
My computer is running slow for a few days now. I have run my virus software, and changed the Microsoft signing in password frequently to try to help them but it's still very slow?

Go to your startup utility and disable any programs that aren't really needed. I get there from msconfig.

Win10? It's updating itself without asking you.

Open your task manager and look at what processes are sucking up the most CPU and disk resources.
If that process isn't something you need, terminate it.
If it is something you need, but is sucking up way too much in the way of resources, it may have become corrupted. Delete it and download a fresh copy. Then do a clean install of it.
I once had Google Chrome that kept sucking over 70% of my CPU. I deleted it, and installed a fresh copy, and the CPU usage went way down. I figure something got corrupted with the version I had.
