Jackie Brenston is credited w/ the first Rock n Roll record "Rocket 88" (1951). However, he's black. The earliest white singers are Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis who signed w/ Sun Records in the mid 1950s. The first Elvis or Lewis records were not rock.
An interesting side note: ... When the black slaves arrived in America, they were not allowed to speak their native language. They were usually given a bible and directed to learn the language w/ it. Soon, they were singing spiritual work songs in the fields. This developed to Gospel music and a number of genres sprang f/ that including Rock n Roll.

None. Rock and Roll was invented by Black singers, e.g. Chuck Berry and Little Richard. Whites took credit for it just as they did with a lot of things they stole from Blacks. The idea that Elvis Presley invented Rock and Roll is a blatant lie. You Ain't Nothing But A Hound Dog was written by a Black singer by the name of Big Mama Thornton before Presley was born.

Ike Turner wrote and performed “Rocket 88,” regarded by historians as the first rock and roll song.
Chuck Berry, the “Father of Rock and Roll” was the innovative artist who essentially created rock and roll guitar songs.
Little Richard was the “Architect of Rock and Roll,” inspiring acts like the Beatles.
Sister Rosetta Tharpe, “The Godmother of Rock and Roll” was a superstar. She was a vocalist and virtuouso guitarist who blended gospel into the essentials of rock and roll sounds.
There are plenty more in rock and roll history, and there isn’t a “white singer” I can think of that was instrumental in laying the foundations of sound or style or substance.
Called the “King of Rock and Roll,” Elvis was simply a vehicle for the sounds and styles laid down before him. And he never wrote a single song in his entire life.
For the curious, I’m a 53 year old white, conservative Christian. Truth is truth.

No one person invented rock and roll. Some of the first were Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, and Little Richard.
