Object travel distance?

Applying 3000 kinetic energy to a Mass(10kg) laying on a surface with friction of 0.1μ how long will the mass travels before fully stop.

Is my answer correct?

½mv² = μmgd

= 305.81 meters

Update:

It was 3000 mechanic energy, as the potential gravitational energy was 0, so only left the kinetic energy. And coefficient of dynamic friction = 0.1μ

    3000/10 = g*μd*d

    d = 300/(9.806*0.1) = 306 m

    Your answer is correct for a value of g = 9.81 m/s²

    Kinetic energy isn't something that's applied.  It's a property an object has based on it's mass and speed.  "...friction of 0.1μ" also makes no sense.

    "friction of 0.1μ" ?? what does this mean ?

    if I has to guess, those would be

    KE = 3000 J

    and coef. of friction, μ = 0.1

    ??
