Can you round up a weighted gpa of 3.96?
I know you can't round up a unweighted gpa of 3.96 to 4.0 because 4.0 is perfect but in my school a weighted 4.0 isn't the highest or "perfect"

Do whatever you want. GPAs are now meaningless touchy-feely pc.

No. GPAs are rounded to 2 decimal places. If your GPA is 3.968, then you can round it up to 3.97. But you can't round a 3.96 up to a 4.0

No. Weighted or unweighted your GPA sticks at 3.9

"Can I" is different than "should I." You CAN do whatever you want with your GPA, but it isn't a good idea. GPAs are given with two decimal places for a reason. If people want to know your rounded GPA, they'd ask for it. They don't.
The difference between a 3.96 and 4.0 isn't significant, but lying is.

tell truth. you don't want something like this to come back and haunt you later. readers will round the figure themselves in their mind
