Why do my homemade button pins turn brown?

I got a button making press a couple years ago and I love it but I noticed some of my older buttons get brownish spots on them. I use the metal base, plastic back, and plastic sheets it comes with but I use my own printer paper. I was wondering if there is a certain type of printer paper I should be using to stop this? Btw the brown is coming from inside the button not on the exterior, it’s not dirty. It’s happening to a lot of them gradually over time. The button press I use is this one from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SJ4Y17R/ref=cm_sw_r_c...

That happens over time.  It's related to moisture in the air.
