How do you overcome daily fear of dying?

Whenever I think about the fact that someday I’m gonna cease to exist and I try to find a line of thought in trying to come to terms with it, it just doesn’t work.

I can’t stop thinking about it and I can’t come to terms with it.

I’m always scared of how it will feel, what will happen, or what I might find or not find.

What’s even more depressing is the fact that one “MUST” exit this earth and there is “NO” exit route from earth unless through dying.

Has anyone overcome this fear of uncertainty ? If yes, how did you do it?

    i don't fear being dead. i fear the pain of dying. i also worry for the pain it will cause those who cared about me which are few.

    Hope and enjoyment.

    That question is so pertinent especially these days but... if you get objective and force yourself to be objective getting over that fear (if just a little bit) is an element based on the concept that there are things out of our control... like when we pass by that nice car or that nice outfit in the window that we automatically know we just can't have.

    That's my opinion, anyway. I'm no psych expert, but that is sorta my method.

    TALK to your family.

    Unburden yourself, Talk about all of it.

    Your problems probably started out with bad friends

    And or, Girl problems,, He knows how serious life is

    and how valuable..


    If you are aged, palliative health system.

    Deals with the fear, sponsors memory.

    Very difficult to except.

    turn to those true..

    nursing. and conversation.

    Maybe death is a thousand times better than being alive. If something showed you this, would you still be afraid? No, you would look forward to dying. I assume you are afraid of the pain you might have to endure, etc etc. To live with fear becomes a wasted life. Next thing you know you are facing death and you realize that you spend your whole life fearing something that was inevitable, where you could have enjoyed life. In the end, thinking/fearing it will never change what will eventually come. We must embrace all, because everything is as it should be.

    Basically one needs to train the mind to accept the two facts..... namely of certainty of death and uncertainty of its time..... it is this acceptance that helps our mind ignore death and embrace life !!

    A better way is to realize that we are too small to matter, either alive or dead, in the grand overall context of the huge universe and unlimited time-frame.

    Fear is a spirit. People who are possessed by this spirit always fear even without a reason.

    Human beings are ruled by spirits but humans must learn to control and rule the spirits. Spirits possess people according to the mental state of the human beings and keep them in the same state until they are rejected and replaced by another. This is an all time phenomena occurring in all humans. Human beings are always under the influence of spirits. Certain situations and circumstances cause the possession of certain type of spirits. Often thinking and talking about bad subjects or bad imaginations even for fun can take serious turns on one who think and talk. Often thinking and talking about good subjects with good imaginations can create positive effects in your life. Your favorable thoughts and beliefs can bring favorable spirits by your side. The more you think the more would be the possession of that spirit. All spirits (good and bad) have the dominating character. They can take you to the extent of sacrifice or suicide.

    All of your activities, talks and even thoughts determine what kind of spirits you will have for your life. Only these spirits are the reason for the good and bad happening in your life. These spirits determine your destiny from your daily activities, talks and thoughts too. Spirits are separate elements. A human being doesn't have a spiritual body. A human being during his/her life time is living with many spirits which have joined one by one since birth. They are knowledge, skills, feelings, emotions, interests and everything. These spirits are your consciousnesses and memories. Even thoughts are not your own. For example, when you want to take a decision on a subject, one after another the spirits think and you just listen, choose or reject the ideas which they transmit to your mind through your brain in the form of thoughts. Brain is just a media to connect the spirits to your mind. A mind is just a computer's mind. After the destruction of a computer completely you will not get its mind. The same is the case with the human beings. Soul is nothing but an energy needed for the functionality of a body. It is not a spirit or anything else. A body's functionality is based on the auto mechanism.  After death all spirits which accompanied a person quit and go to different places searching new bodies. No one lives after death in any form and there is no afterlife. All human beings are just robots made of flesh and bones and toys of the spirits for their games.

    You must not leave your mind in its own way. If you do, the spirit will take your mind for its own, then controlling it is not so easy. First of all you must think and believe that it's not you. Then you must command that spirit both mentally and orally to go. Whenever you are possessed by that thought you must divert your mind at once towards some other subject and stay in it for a while and then continue your duty. This is a mental exercise. You may also bring at once an opposite feeling through your imagination. For example if the depression is about your future then you may think, imagine and believe that you are going to live a healthy, wealthy and happy life in future. You must continue this exercise for few days. While doing this exercise you are creating an opposing spirit, i.e., a positive force. Soon this new spirit gets stronger and eliminates the negative force. Within a few days you will be alright.

    If you need quick remedy then there is a way but you must know to act mentally. You must believe, if not possible pretend that you are an eternal being and there is no death to you. By believing like that the spirit of fear moves slowly and the spirit which favors your belief starts to possess you. It may take weeks and months but there will be changes.

    I have not been afraid of dying for my entire life,  however,  in the Fall of 1975 during bootcamp I had a bad reaction to one of the many shots we received. 

    In the ambulance I was thinking that "I really should start breathing again", then I realized "I don't have to breathe anymore".  It was such a serene and peaceful feeling with a depth which is indescribable in any human language.
