Should I join an adult beginners ballet class before or after I lose weight?
Unfortunately, I weigh around 197 pounds, which is about 70 pounds overweight for myself. Should I wait? If it helps, I’m 26 and my goal is to get rn pointe.

Better to describe your gender, height with weight and general build.
"70 pounds overweight" has no meaning because it could be 70 above thin, 70 above ideal, 70 above average, or 70 above healthy.
Until within a healthy weight range, strenuous exercise is harmful. It's all about diet now. Change to 1000 Calories a day in mostly vegetables and low fat, low sodium, lean protein, and complex carb.
