Is there ever a situation where the pitcher would cover 3rd base?

The pitcher can cover anywhere in the infield in certain circumstances.

A simple example would be a high pop fly to shallow left field or even into foul territory where the 3rd baseman and short stop both move back to attempt to make a catch. The first baseman, 2nd baseman and catcher would all cover their respective bases and the pitcher should run over and cover 3rd base if there is any chance of a play occurring there.
