If something is traveling at constant acceleration of +14.9 m/s^2. How long will it take to reach an intercept velocity of +390.7 m/s?
Can some tell me the equation to use for this question?

In 1 second, it gains 14.9 m/s.
In 2 seconds, it gains 2 * 14.9 m/s.
In 3 seconds, it gains 3 * 14.9 m/s.
Do you see a pattern here?
In "x" seconds it gains x * 14.9 m/s. Just solve the equation x * 14.9 = 390.7.

for stretching the same space
397t = 14.9/2*t^2
14.9t = 397*2
t = 2V/a = 397*2 /14.9 = 53.28 sec
for getting the same speed
t' = V/a = t/2 = 26.64 sec

𝑣 = a*t + 𝑣₀
To achieve 390.7 m/s:
390.7 = 14.9 * t
t = 26.221476510067114093959731543624 s
Now round to 3 sigfigs: 26.2 s
