The whole set-up looks Japanese to me. So, a quiet room, for relaxing, meditating, having tea ... whatever you want.

It COULD HAVE BEEN originally an outdoor patio. But they got some windows and closed it up to make it a room that feels outdoorsy. Probably slapped in a closet behind those white doors (never seem to have enough closet space) It is your place so you can decide what you want to do with that space. There is no law that says it has to be anything.

It's a tatami room:

It can be whatever you need it to be and then be cleared away again.

It's clearly meant to be an observatory space with multiple functions. You could read in there, set up an office, or even set up a treadmill.

It is a small room which can have many uses.
Perhaps it could be used as:
An office
A place to grow plants and herbs for cooking or homeopathic needs.
A room for exercise
A room for meditation
Maybe a baby nursery
A playroom for kids
A craft room
A sewing room
A place to read in solitude
With a pull out couch, a guest room
A artist's painting studio
A place for dogs to sleep and eat with a dog washing station
A place for a potter's wheel/studio
A breakfast room
A massage room
If the doors open to the outside living area, maybe it could serve as a kitchen area to cook and serve food and a place to store outdoor dining necessities for entertaining purposes.
A Martha Stewart style garden room.
An awesome dressing room (with curtains, of course)
A music room
A small home theater (with black out curtains)
A bathroom, spa style
A Fifty Shades of Gray room?
That is all I got.

Lucky you if you have an extra room like that, with windows! Would make a great sanctuary. Fill it with plants and create a peaceful place to read or meditate.
