Who sang the song? What was the song?
A song from the 60’s. Girl singer, who I had thought was Sandi Shaw, is a sad sad song, about a girl lamenting the loss of her lover. One line is very very sad. She laments.....Ooooh, What might have been...( and then something about the awful situation NOW) instead.
Do you know the singer and the song?
Update:
Was it Helen Shapiro?

There are dozens it might have been, but I'd take a guess at 'I'd be Far Better Off Without You', Sandie Shaw, or 'Little Miss Lonely' by Helen Shapiro.

I answer my own question. It was Going Back, by Dusty Springfield. I remembered it because it helped
me to be nostalgic. After a few glasses, if you hear it, then, you can just burst into tears
