what kind of banana leaves can be used for cooking?

How many  types of banana leaves are there,and would that matter ? I'd buy/use the ones that are/says "banana leaves".

Any as long as they have not been sprayed with any chemical. 

You can buy them frozen at many stores. 

I would not use the leaves from any banana tree you buy at a Nursery until new leaves come in.

There isn't a specific type of banana leaves that is used for cooking.  Any fresh or frozen banana leaves can be used for cooking.
