Was "CHiPs" funnier in season 1?

I love the show but I felt the show became too formulaic once they replaced the first theme with the disco theme the show is more known.

The score was funnier. "CHiPs" prior to the disco theme felt more comedic in many moments. XD

    CHIPS were tastier in season 1 they got stale afterwards

    It was better in season one.
