Why does yahoo remove questions that speak the truth?
- .Lv 72 months ago
Posts are removed when enough users report them as violations (there is NO specific # of reports required to get a post removed, it varies). You can post again here and ask "Was this question a violation" and include the exact text of the question, including any updates, URLs, or images associated with it, and the users here will tell you if it appears to be a violation or not. If not, you have 7 days to appeal to have it reinstated.
The site is for information seeking questions, not for people to try to share their version of some "truth".

because enough users report them.
Just because a question "speaks the truth" doesn't mean it doesn't violate the guidelines

They do it because enough users report. "Speaking" in a question is a violation of the rules since it is not a question or is just a rant. Go to Facebook and Reddit to "speak" the truth.

Questions that speak the truth are often deleted for being highly opinionated. All they do is agitate certain segments of this community. Ranting questions are already a violation of the Community Guidelines. As for how offensive questions are removed, it was the users' reports that made it all happen.
Anyone wishing to speak the truth must do all that on social media sites instead, and this should get people to stay out of trouble in the long run.

Because YA users report those questions and answers enough times that bit triggers computer programs to remove those questions from the YA DISPLAY. The deletions can be appealed. No one knows how many reports are required. Truth is subjective.

Questions should not speak the truth. They should ask for the truth.
